Phiomia schaal American Dad Francine Smith

Phiomia genus are extinct elephant-like mammals that had a very short trunks. They lived about 36 million years ago (during the late Eocene to Early Oligocene. They had short shovel-like tusks on the lower jaw that were most likely used for gathering food. They also had It had short tusks on the upper jaw that might have been used for defense or to scrape bark off of trees. They stood 1,40-2,50 meters (4.6 - 8.2ft) high, lived in swamps, and fed on water plants.[1]

Fossils were reported in 1901 having been discovered southwest of Cairo Egypt, in Lower Oligocene Gabal Qatrani Formation located in the El Fayoum. [2]
